PROJECT LOCATION: Waterbury Place - Champaign, Illinois |

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A large basement remodel reflecting the styles of the 1930's - 1940's. The project entailed a large entertainment area (pool table and poker table), wetbar, bathroom, gas (vent-free) fireplace, and wooden booths with marble tops that were salvaged from an old ice cream parlor. All detailing was "period" correct. The trim, doors and cabinet were poplar, the ceiling tile had a "tin" look, and the door knobs maintained the style of the era. The floors were carpeted and additional cabinetry was installed for storage. Additional work included an area exhaust system, a sewage ejector pit for the bathroom, new wiring, plumbing and electrical. |
