PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The kitchen in this existing 100-year-old home was recently remodeled. An exterior wall was extended about 9 feet to increase the square footage. The exterior door was moved to a more accessible area off of the new deck, and additional windows were added to "open up" and brighten the room. IAn existing peninsula that divided the kitchen space was removed and a much larger and open space was created. The new design and finishes were chosen to closely complement the existing look and feel of the home. New custom oak quarter sawn cabinets were chosen, along with new granite countertops. The new tile flooring is 12" x 12" chocolate natural stone. The new appliances are a Fisher Paykel dishwasher,a Kitchen Aid refrigerator, Wolfe cook top and wall oven/microwave combo. A small island was added in the center of the kitchen, and a new peninsula was added. A new gas fireplace was installed.
