PROJECT LOCATION:  Mahomet, Illinois

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  This custom kitchen has the look and feel of a much larger kitchen due to the cathedral ceiling and open floor plan. An existing wall between the kitchen and living rooms was removed and the ceiling was opened up to tie into the existing cathedral ceiling over the living area. A new window over the sink follows the line of the cathedral ceiling, while two existing windows were shortened to add more cabinetry. Glass front cabinets at one end of the kitchen give the feel of a hutch.

The custom cabinets are cherry with Ceasarstone countertops. The "reclaimed" 100 year old oak floor was salvaged from a building in Chicago. A beautiful glass tile backsplash adds an abundance of color. Pendant lighting over the bar area with recessed halogens overhead while undercabinet lighting was installed around the sink area.

A new peninsula bar with cooktop and raised bar countertop with stools provides additional seating area.

A new laundry cabinet with shelving unit house a stacked washer/dryer unit. New soapstone flooring was added in the laundry room and in the entry way.
