PROJECT LOCATION:  Champaign, Illinois

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The existing 50 year old kitchen in this home contained painted cabinets and two small areas that were divided by the stairs leading to the basement. The kitchen and dining room was separated by a wall.

The remodel started with the removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining area, which opened up the space even though no square footage was added. The sink, dishwasher and refrigerator remained on one side of the kitchen, while on the opposite side a new "entertainment" area was created. Full height cabinets were added for storage and a large countertop made this space ideal for a buffet and serving area. Another large countertop/bar area with stools was created for the many guests this couple entertains.

Custom maple cabinets with solid granite countertops and new oak floors were added. All appliances are Jenn-Air.
